Our Vision
Here at Thrive Café and Catering we strive to bring you the freshest foods prepared simply in an intimate downtown location. We use organic and locally sourced ingredients in season whenever possible. In that same vein we proudly serve Ohio grown chicken from Gerber Farms, and turkey from Cooper Farms. All of which is free range, antibiotic free, and fed a vegetarian diet. The salmon we serve is a wild caught sustainable Alaskan Keta filet. We hope you enjoy the fruits of our labor and our commitment to quality. Fresh! Prepared for you!

About Us

Thrive is a new dining and catering service in the Marietta area. We strive to source the freshest ingredients available, including natural, organic, and local products, to create unique seasonal tastes that celebrate the bounty of each season. We provide a wide variety of options including full service catering, weekly Take Home Meals available for evening pickup, Boxed Lunches, and coming soon, an urban inspired café located in downtown Historic Marietta. James Edward Heydinger Jr

James Edward Heydinger Jr

James Edward Heydinger Jr. is the Executive Chef and Co-Creator of Thrive. With a great amount of experience locally and also in the Baltimore market, James has been trained in, and exposed to a myriad of cuisines, ranging from traditional French, Southeast Asian, Greek, Australian, and many more. His background with the slow food and organic movements has led him to work with local farmers markets, earn a degree in Agribusiness, and serve on the Farm Bureau board of trustees. With his passion for food and his support for the local agricultural community, James was the perfect fit for Thrive!

Jason Legraen

Jason Legraen

Jason Legraen is the General Manager and Co-creator of Thrive. Born and raised locally, he attended The Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburg PA. After college, he worked his way up through a local corporate restaurant chain managing, training employees, and opening new stores throughout the state of Ohio. Returning to Marietta, he continued his experience working for locally owned restaurants, both casual and fine dining, while also achieving great success in the catering and event planning market as well. With his love for the local community and superior customer service, Thrive was the perfect choice for the next step in his career!

Christian Jussen

Christian Jussen

Christian Jussen is the owner and co-creator of Thrive. Originally from Southern California, Christian has been exposed to a wonderful variety of west coast cuisine from an early age. While attending The California College of Arts for Architecture, he moved to the Bay Area and began working as a buyer for Whole Foods in Berkley. There, he grew in his knowledge and appreciation for the organic and natural food movements. After moving to the Marietta area to start a family with his partner, Dr. Roger Anderson, Christian's dream was to bring a taste of California to his new home. They began buying properties in the historic District of Marietta, with the idea to bring new businesses with a fresh new perspective to the area. With his love for design and his passion for good food and a better way of eating, Thrive was born!
